Greek Meatballs (Keftedes)

Keftedes are traditional Greek meatballs, seasoned with fresh mint, oregano, and onions. They are traditionally served with tzatziki.
Ingredients
- 500g mixed ground meat
- 1 small onion, finely grated
- 2 garlic cloves, pressed
- 2 tbsp fresh mint, chopped
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
- Salt & pepper
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions

Prepare mixture: Combine all ingredients except oil in a bowl. Knead well.

Shape: Form small balls (about 3cm) with wet hands.

Fry: Heat olive oil in a pan. Fry meatballs until golden brown on all sides, about 10-15 minutes.

Serve: Serve hot with tzatziki, pita bread, and Greek salad.
